USCG Approval and Safety Considerations:

All Orion US Coast Guard-approved signals are manufactured and independently tested according to the specifications outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 45, Part 160. Signal performance can be affected by improper storage, so it is important to keep them in a dry, secure location on board. Inspect all signals and launchers annually for damage caused by exposure to moisture or mishandling.

Caution: Flares are extremely flammable. Keep out of reach of children. When not in use, store launchers and signals separately in a safe, secure location. This product is for emergency use only, and it is illegal to ignite distress signals in non-distress situations. Flare launchers and aerial signals are not intended to be used as weapons. Misuse may result in civil or criminal action.

Important Notice: Orion launchers are specifically designed for use with Orion signals only. Using any other brand of signal or shell is dangerous and voids all claims and warranties. The Orion 12-Gauge Launcher is intended for use with Orion 12-Gauge red and white aerial signals and Orion 12-Gauge High-Performance single and twin red aerial signals. The Orion 25MM Launcher, when equipped with an Orion 12-Gauge converter, can also fire Orion 12-Gauge signals.

Storage Recommendations: Always store launchers unloaded. Keep distress signals in a dry, secure area of your boat. Remove signals during extended periods of storage to prevent degradation. Regular inspection is necessary to ensure continued functionality.
